High Pressing and Transition with 6v5 Tactical Game

This soccer tactical game develops organized high pressing and improves the cooperation between the players while putting pressure on the opponent.
Besides, the game emphasizes transition to attack after regaining the ball, and helps practice a quick finish against an unorganized defense.

Organisation

Cones create a playing area, as shown.
Four small goals are placed on the baseline of the pressing team, these are targets of the deep passes.
Two teams are identified with different colors. The outnumbered reds try to build the attack with 5 players from the back and the over-numbered blue (practicing) team makes the high pressing with 6 players.
Both team must be resting players.
The red team plays with 4 defenders and 1 defensive midfielder, the blue plays with 4 midfielders and 2 strikers as the pressing formation of 4-4-2.
Of course, the 4-4-2 pressing formation can be transformed from other system, for example from 4-3-3, as we show it on the Graphics 2.
One goalkeeper also takes part in the game.
The coach or a server player is located behind the baseline of the pressing team.

Description and Graphics

The game always starts by the goalkeeper passing the ball to one of the central defenders.
The aim of the red players is to score to one of the small goals, as if they could pass the ball to a teammate in depth. If it's successful, the high pressing is wrong, which means that the team in possession can start an attack.
The over-numbered pressing team has to put pressure on the ball immediately, to be able to tackle or regain the ball by well-organized and cooperated movements. The players must move in cooperation following the ball, closing the passing opportunities and covering the opponents.
One of the key factors is the pressing players cannot be played out with a feint in 1:1 situation, since it would reduce the effectiveness of the pressure and would be dangerous to the entire defensive structure of the team.
When a player of the pressing team regains the ball (now the defensive midfielder), they have to utilize the situation against the unorganized defense and finish the action fast.
When the ball leaves the pitch early, the coach passes a new ball to one player of the pressing team. They have to react and finish the action fast. The defenders must also react, reorganize themselves and save their goal.
