Organisation

Cones are used to create three zones as shown (A-B-C).
The size of the playing area is approximately 15x15 meters. Of course, it depends on the given age-category we work and on the players' abilities as well.
Players are split into three teams of six. All of the teams are in different colors.
The game is played with two balls and the teams change their roles after every repetition.

Description and Graphics

Two teams are in possession, one team defends.
3-3 red and blue players are located in areas "A" and "B".
The defenders are placed in three positions. Two of them try to win the ball in a 6v2 situation in area "A". Three defenders are in the middle zone (C) with one ball and one defender is located in zone "B" .
The soccer game starts in Zone "A", where the 3-3 red and blue players possess the ball against 2 defenders. Meanwhile the other three defenders circulate the ball with continuous movements in zone "C".
Players in zone "B" are positioning, since they must be ready to receive the ball anytime.
In possession, the players keep the ball against the defenders and in the right time they try to play one of the free players in zone "C". The defenders are trying to intercept the ball and dribble it out from the area. Players in zone "C" must offer themselves while they are combining with their ball. The free player always asks the ball from the players in possession. The one who received the ball in the middle, forwards it to the waiting players in the other sided area (B).
Meanwhile one of the defenders sprints from the middle to help his team-mate and complete the defending two. One defender from zone "A" runs to the middle.
The progression continues with the same rules to the other direction.
To raise the difficulty of possession by determining the sequence of the passes.

1: Red must play red, but the third pass must played to the other color (blue). So Blue must play a blue player first and then a red again.
2: Players in possession can combine only in turn. (blue must pass to red and red player must pass to blue)
