This 1v1 soccer drill focuses on preparing and practising 1v1 defending and attacking skills. Soccer drill also emphasises developing dynamic 1v1 skills and dribbling with ball, transition and changing pace with the ball.

Organisation

Cones are used to create a square and zones in it as shown. Players change position continuously: Attacker replaces defender, defender goes to the end of the attackers' group.

Description and Graphics

Player A starts to dribble towards the Defending zone. Player A tries to pass the ball through the Defending zone to the other sided Supporting area to his team-mate. Defender tries to close the passing directions with quick feet movements and anticipating attackers aim. When defender gets the ball he has to dribble out from the box, beat the attacker who has lost the ball and reach the Supporting area in front.
