Warm Up

Celtic's field-players begin their warm up 40 minutes before the starting whistle. They pass to each other in pairs or small groups and move at low intensity.

The goalkeepers begin their preparation almost 60 minutes before the kick off and they work with their goalkeeper coach for almost 45 minutes.

The starting team perform different movements and gymnastic exercises without ball easily with the leading of a coach.
At the end of this part players make 3-4 higher intensity runs in 8-10 meters distance.

Dynamic movements and athletic exercises (for example: sideway skipping, crossover steps) by using a special elastic rope.

After this special work the players stretch their main muscles. They always perform dynamic movements after the static stretching.

Players are located on the sideline and they perform several athletic exercises about 10 meters back and forth.
The intensity is high.
At the end of this period players execute 2 dynamic runs about 20-25 meters from the sideline.

Players have a rest and they stretch individually.

It takes 1 minute.

Players pass the ball to each other easily during their one-minute resting period.

7v5 possession is played in a 25x25 meters area.
When the ball is out the coach serves another ball into the field and the progression continues without a break. The ball possession takes 2 minutes after that a one-minute resting period comes, then the possession is repeated.

Players shoot on goal with the leading of a coach.

In the first variation the players pass the ball to the coach.
He gives it back with one touch sharply and the players receive it accurately then shoot with the next touch if possible.

In the second variation players lob the ball to the coach's arms.
He throws it back sharply and the players receive it accurately then shoot with the next touch if possible.

Players perform dynamic movements (single step, double steps etc.) back and forth between the cones with full intensity.

Players implement some sprints from the baseline.
The starting body position is always changed.
